The children and young people of Al Noor Rehabilitation & Welfare Association for Persons with Disabilities will benefit from new computers and IT equipment this Eid Al Adha, thanks to Dubai born start-up, CAFU.
The donation by CAFU, valued at AED 26,000 consisted of computers, keyboards, monitors, and mouses enabling the students to benefit from some of the latest technology as well as support them in their education.
With the community being such an important focus for the fuel delivery and vehicle services company, CAFU takes great pride in creating opportunities to support community projects.
Throughout the pandemic, CAFU continued to play a role in supporting local communities across the UAE, from collaborating with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) to offer free fuel to frontline workers, to partnering with local entities to support blue collar workers and low-income families. Last year, the pioneering tech company also took the decision of waving off their fuel delivery fees for customers.
CAFU continues to create opportunities that drive the growth and development of communities in places they operate within, along with supporting individuals and organizations that are passionate in making life better and creating a better world.
“As a pioneering tech company that cares, we are always looking for ways to digitally enhance and support our community. With this in mind, we were pleased to donate our spare IT equipment to Al Noor Rehabilitation & Welfare Association for Persons with Disabilities. There is no doubt that the pandemic has caused disruption to various industries, with education and distant learning being one of the most prevalent. We take pride in supporting organizations that care for the community” said Nabra Al Busaidi, Sustainability and Community Manager at CAFU.
These items will be used by the children in class for learning purposes as soon as school resumes back in September, ensuring every child continues to get the best standard of education.
“We would like to extend our gratitude to CAFU for providing us with the much-needed resources and equipment for our children. This donation will enable the centre to offer enhanced and improved facilities for the nurturing and development of our children as well as our centre” said Ms. Ranjini Ramnath, Director at Al Noor Rehabilitation & Welfare Association for People of Determination.
