For the first time in 14 years, Mattel’s beloved purple dinosaur Barney returns to our screens in all-new animated series Barney’s World, premiering on Cartoonito on 14th October 2024.
Set in exciting locations such as the Splashpad, Barney Bench and Tree, Community Garden, Beach, Castle, Enchanted Forest, Desert Pirate Island, and the Playground, Barney helps kids learn that everyone is special in their own way and teaches them the importance of loving yourself, loving others, and loving our environment.
Co-produced by Mattel Television and Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana, the brand-new animated series is set in the local playground, where Barney is joined by dinos Billy and Baby Bop and their three kid best friends: Mel, Vivie, and David. Through silly, imaginative, and music-filled adventures together, Barney helps the kids explore big emotions and shows them how to love themselves, others, and their community.
This show features familiar characters and introduces us to new characters too!
- Barney(Jonathon Langdon – Trap, ZOMBIES) – a great listener who understands little kids’ big feelings, because he shares them – happy, sad, and everything in between! Barney loves to play games, using his big purple magic to transform the park into imaginative adventures for his friends.
- Baby Bop (Bryn McAuley – Hotel Transylvania: The Series)- a charming, opinionated performer and an advocate for all feelings, no matter how big or small.
- Billy(Jonathon Tan – My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale, Let’s Go, Bananas!) –an energetic dino who loves action and loud sounds and enjoys physical challenges!
- David(JaydDeroché– The Boys, I Woke up a Vampire, Paw Patrol) – an empathetic, self-aware, caring child.
- Mel(Diana Tsoy– Peter Pan & Wendy) – an active, competitive, and quick-witted girl
- Vivie(Ella Paccioco– Vocal Star)- a wildly creative, open-hearted, and nurturing kid.
