Emrill has partnered with UAE-based IFFCO to distribute 7,000 care packages to Emrill employees. IFFCO is a large FMCG conglomerate dealing in food and non-food products. IFFCO supplied the care packages that contained bars ofsoap, hand sanitiser, shower gel, food, and a branded bag. The packages were distributed by Emrill and IFFCO representatives across employee accommodation facilities in Dubai.
Pinar Celikel, head of marketing at IFFCO, said: “We are happy to partner with Emrill in this CSR activity since both IFFCO Beauty and Emrill share the same values and want to take care of our front liners in these tough times, helping them get back in touch with their lives and loved ones.”
Emrill and IFFCO representatives visitedseven sites over three days, meeting with Emrill employees and distributing care packages. Many employees expressed gratitude for the initiative and welcomed the opportunity to meet with colleagues safely to celebrate their hard work and achievements.
This initiative is the latest in a series of programmes launched by Emrill as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to employee welfare and to ensure employee health and wellbeing.
Stuart Harrison, Emrill’s CEO, said: “The past 18 months have been challenging for all of us and we needed to adapt to new ways of working as a result of COVID-19. Life has been disrupted for all of us, and many Emrill employees are still unable to spend time with their families due to travel restrictions. We wanted to express our gratitude to Emrill’s employees with a small token of appreciation for working so hard on the front lines of the pandemic.”
During 2021, Emrill has provided employees with access to healthcare professionals for eye tests, medical checkups and mental health webinars, focusing on preventative medical screening and treatment. In May, Emrill held a raffle with cash prizes of over Dh35,000.
