This weekend, the stage is set for the 38th annual Survivor Series, headlined by explosive WarGames matches and exhilarating action live from Vancouver Canada.
Taking place on Saturday 30th November, Survivor Series: WarGames will air exclusively in the region via MBC’s Shahid. Marking the third annual Survivor Series based around the WarGames match, superstars are all revved up to battle it on this action-packed night.
In a WarGames Match, two rings are surrounded by a steel cage. The matchup begins with a member from each team battling one-on-one. After five minutes, a Superstar will enter from one of the two teams. Every three minutes after that, another competitor enters, and the teams alternate until everyone enters. Due to the match not having disqualifications, competitors can bring weapons as they step into the fray. The WarGames Match officially starts when all the participants have joined. After that, the chaos continues until one team emerges victorious by pinfall or submission.
The match card for this event, includes:
- United States Champion LA Knight vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
Since overcoming Logan Paul at SummerSlam to capture the title, Knight has proved himself a fighting United States Champion. However, Nakamura is a different kind of adversary who put the exclamation point on his return to SmackDown by attacking The Megastar just seconds after a successful title defence and then launched a second vicious attack on the following SmackDown, repeatedly hurling him into the ring post.Nakamura is out to do what he does best, playing mind games with Knight in his quest for the gold.
- Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker vs. Sheamus vs. Ludwig Kaiser (Triple Threat Match)
There is little surprise at the amount of chaos that has been created between the three Superstars since all three have something to prove. Fresh off reclaiming the gold from Jey Uso, Breakker needs to demonstrate that he is a dominant titleholder. For The Celtic Warrior, the Survivor Series free-for-all is the opportunity to claim the one title that has eluded him throughout his WWE career. For Kaiser, it’s finally time to live up to the faith that The Ring General Gunther has shown in him.
- World Heavyweight Champion Gunther vs. Damian Priest
Gunther enjoyed a record 666-day reign as Intercontinental Champion, won the 2024 King of The Ring, and further established himself as one of WWE’s most dominant Superstars when he claimed the World Heavyweight Title from Priest at SummerSlam.
That victory, however, occurred when Finn Bálor rocked The Biggest Event of the Summer by betraying Priest and helping The Ring General steal the gold from The Archery of Infamy.Despite his ongoing issues with The Judgment Day, Priest emerged victorious in a Fatal 4-Way Match against Seth "Freakin" Rollins, Sheamus and Dominik Mysterio to earn the right to challenge the World Heavyweight Champion at WWE’s Fall Classic.
- Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Bayley, Naomi & IYO SKY vs. Liv Morgan, Nia Jax, Raquel Rodriguez, Tiffany Stratton & Candice LeRae (WarGames Match)
The carnage is set to begin as Rhea Ripley, one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair, Bayley, Naomi, and IYO SKY will collide with Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax, Ms. Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton, Raquel Rodriguez and Candice LeRae in a WarGames Match.
Ripley and Morgan are embroiled in one of the most bitter rivalries in recent memory,Morgan has built an army, including the towering Rodriguez, and has also enlisted WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax and her associates Stratton and LeRae.In desperate need of reinforcement, Ripley convinced, the EST of WWE as well as Naomi and The Genius of the Sky to join her cause, with Bayley replacing Jade Cargill after she was attacked, setting the stage for an epic WarGames matchup.
- Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, The Usos & CM Punk vs. Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa & "Big" Bronson Reed (WarGames Match)
The original Bloodline of Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso and CM Punk join forces against the new Bloodline of Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and "Big" Bronson Reed.
The OTC made his triumphant return at SummerSlam to wage war on the new regime and attempt to reestablish control of The Bloodline. However, the sinister trio of Sikoa, Fatu and Tonga overcame The OTC and a reunited Jey and Jimmy Uso in a Six-Man Tag Team Match at WWE Crown Jewel.
After the showdown, several tumultuous encounters between the two factions soon led to Zayn realigning himself with Reigns and The Usos to reform The Original Bloodline. Together, they look to finally topple Sikoa and his cold-blooded comrades. "Big" Bronson Reed joined The Bloodline, forcing The OG Bloodline to try to find a fifth member.Their prayers were answered when The Wiseman, Paul Heyman, returned to announce that CM Punk would be the final member for team OG Bloodline.
Survivor Series: WarGames takes place on Saturday 30th November and is scheduled to stream live in KSA on Sunday 1st December at 3:00AM, watch it live via MBC’s Shahid and then on the same day with Arabic subtitles on MBC Action.
